Woodland To Wearable Exhibition,
Cardiff Metropolitan University, 2017

'Woodland to Wearable' was the title of my exhibition where I showcased a series of jewellery made from found glass alongside videos and imagery from where the glass was sourced. As a maker, I am a firm believer that no materials should be left unutilised. Therefore, I found that using waste materials I could not only create beautiful pieces of jewellery but also benefit the surrounding area by cleaning up the debris and repurposing it. 'Woodland to Wearable' was showcased at Cardiff Met School of Art and Design in Llandaff, Cardiff. The exhibition was for my end of year degree where I showcased my work alongside fellow makers.

R.C.T-Love Where You Live Awards,
Most Innovative Environmental Award

The Love Where You Live awards are held to celebrate and highlight the excellent work that is taking place by individuals, community groups and Street care staff to make Rhondda Cynon Taf a cleaner, greener, County Borough. The nomination process ended in April, and after that, the chosen finalists were visited throughout May before the winners were decided by independent judges.

The ceremony was held at Coleg y Cymoedd’s Nantgarw campus. I was the Winner of the most Innovative Environmental award for my University project 'Woodland to Wearable'. I attended the ceremony and received a Rhys-cycle Grogg along with a framed copy of my award.
